I've changed directions again! So what else is new!

I've decided to go back to my original plan and have Cooper focus on finding Maxie. It's harrowing to recount the kidnapping and the  aftermath but it makes the writing of it exciting! 
People who have read the opening chapters have said they found it too scary. I hope not. But, I must admit,  I scare myself as I write it. 
In this story, Under the Full Cold Copper Moon, the guide, as creepy as that  sounds, is Maxie himself as we follow him and the kidnappers to where ever those guys are taking him. And seven years later Cooper is trying to find the trail.
